Please join us on Saturday, February 15th, as we return to the Springs Preserve for the 16th annual Black History Month Festival. Commemorating the tremendous contributions of African-Americans to Southern Nevada's rich history and culture, this large, family-friendly festival celebrates Black History through educational activities, live music and dance performances, arts and crafts, historic photo exhibits, and delicious, authentic African-American cuisine. This year's theme is "African Americans and Labor."

Admission to the 16th annual Black History Month Festival includes free entrance to the Springs Preserve's museums and galleries, including the Nevada State Museum.
A few things to know before your arrival:
Parking
Parking at the Springs Preserve can fill up fast during special events. Please note the directional signage and parking signage at the entrance to Springs Preserve that will inform you if the parking lot is full. Overflow parking is available at the Meadows Mall. Please use caution when crossing Valley View Boulevard from the overflow parking area.
Security
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, please allow a little extra time to get through the security checks. These safety precautions are conducted at all Springs Preserve special events to ensure the safety of all guests and staff.

Join us at the Springs Preserve for our annual Haunted Harvest. Guaranteed to be a spooktacular good time! Little goblins can enjoy trick-or-treat stations, crafts, and food trucks in the “Boo-tanical” Garden, where ghostly characters are lurking about.
Haunted Harvest is a safe and family-friendly outdoor event. Attendance is limited and tickets are sold online only. This event is expected to sell out. Don't wait—purchase your tickets now or be left in the dark!
- Costume masks that cover the entire face are prohibited for adults 18+.
- Attendees will be subject to metal detector screening.
- The Springs Preserve is a cashless venue. Guests can use valid debit or credit cards, or mobile wallets.

This family-friendly event blends rich customs with exciting activities such as live entertainment, an array of altars honoring deceased relatives and loved ones, mariachis, sugar skull decorating, traditional food, art vendors and much more.

THIS TICKET OPTION IS ONLY FOR NEVADA STATE MUSEUM MEMBERS. If you are not an active member of the Nevada State Museum and use this option to reserve a ticket, your reservation will be canceled and forfeited. Springs Preserve Members must reserve their tickets using the Springs Preserve Members option.

Reservations for Nevada State Museum Members
- All visitors, including members, must reserve a date-specific ticket online in advance. No walk-up purchases will be permitted.
- Tickets will be made available two weeks in advance.
- Tickets include admission to the Springs Preserve, Nevada State Museum (Friday-Sunday only), access to Outdoor Natural Areas (Botanical Garden and Trails), playground, outdoor animal exhibits, train rides, guided garden tours and pop-up demonstrations. (Tours and demonstrations subject to change. Please confirm daily availability and times onsite.)
- The Springs Preserve is currently open Friday-Monday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Members get early entry to Outdoor Natural Areas at 8 a.m.) The Nevada State Museum is open Friday-Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Last entry at 3 p.m.
Here’s what to expect for a safe and healthy museum visit:
- If you are fully vaccinated, you are not required to wear a mask or physically distance when in the museum. Please be aware that some members of staff or volunteers may continue to wear masks as a personal preference, as may you decide to do as well.
- No food is allowed in the museum, except bottled water (which is available from our store).
- Touchable surfaces will be sanitized periodically through the day.
- Groups or households no larger than 10 persons can book at this time.
- Please note we will only be taking credit or debit card payment, not cash, in the museum store.

- Please present your Member ID card and reservation for verification and access for your scheduled date.
- You may arrive anytime between the scheduled opening time and the last entry time on your selected day. Once inside the Springs Preserve, you may stay as long as you like, within our operating hours and as conditions allow.
